Posted on January 20, 2014 | 4:28 PM

Acclaimed actress and TV personality Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo was revealed as the host of “I Do,” a reality show originally conceptualized by ABS-CBN that will feature couples who want to tie the knot.

Judy Ann led the ribbon-cutting ceremony, blessing, and tour of the “I Do” Village where the participating couples will reside and their relationship be tested before facing the altar.

Judy Ann Santos and Jayson Gainza co-host 'I Do'

“This village was especially built for this show. We will give the couples challenges not to break them apart, but to strengthen their relationship so they become more mature in dealing with life,” said Judy Ann.

Judy Ann hopes that the program will guide the participating couples and make them get to know each other better by immersing them in possible situations they may encounter if they get married. Viewers will track their progress as cameras will record their every move 24/7.

“This is the first time I’m doing a show that’s similar to ‘Pinoy Big Brother,’ but this is ‘PBB’ times five. All issues will be tackled here – from having kids, living with the in-laws, to expenses. We hope we inspire couples and show them that marriage is an eternal vow and a commitment,” she said.

Aside from hosting the program, Judy Ann will also sit as member of the council as a homemaker, along with love and family experts who will give advice to the participating couples.

“I feel tense because I’ve only been married for five years, so my ability to give advice and share my experiences will be tested. I’m glad that I’m doing a show no one has ever done before,” shared Judy Ann.

Bet on Your Baby Hosted by Judy Ann Santos Premieres this October on ABS-CBN

Posted on September 26, 2013 | 7:05 PM

In a family treat with a message that is very much close to her heart, acclaimed television personality and hands-on mother Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo stands proud to share both education and enjoyment as host of the Philippines’ newest game show “Bet On Your Baby”.

Bet on Your Baby Hosted by Judy Ann Santos Premieres this October on ABS-CBN

Seeing it fit for how she is and who she is, Judy Ann has been especially excited venturing into this new project, which is designed for families with children aged two to three and a half years old. Through a series of games, it aims to prove the importance of having a strong bond between parents and their kids.

“When the show was presented to me, and when I got the whole feel of ‘Bet On Your Baby’, I was so entertained by seeing how they kids were really just playing,” said Judy Ann, who found a great sense of enjoyment from her first taping sessions. Aside from that, the show’s games are designed in ways that allow for the children to learn while playing, making her even more eager to take on being the show’s host.

Being an advocate of creating strong connections with her children, she finds a certain thrill in discovering what they’re capable of on a daily basis, which she also sees in what her guests bring to the floor. According to Judy Ann, “There’s a point of conversation with you and the parents that join the show. We can relate to each other.”

Judy Ann also immediately took a liking to the kids that she has met through the show so far. “It’s easy to love the program because you’re dealing with babies, and you can’t go wrong with that,” she said.

This connection that she formed with the families that she has met on the show so far is one that she hopes will branch out to inspire other Filipino families, especially with the show presenting techniques that parents and children can take into their own homes.

“I’m just hopeful that we can inspire people to enjoy having their kids around. ‘Bet On Your Baby’ is here to help parents enjoy their kids more. Besides, being a parent, I learned that when it comes to your children, you don’t want to miss any moment. It’s important to be beside them in whatever they go through. I think when you come to that point, it’s true that you become selfless. It’s true that you smile without reason. All of a sudden, there’s so much more value in your being alive.”

Posted on August 16, 2013 | 9:17 PM

Soap Opera Queen Judy Ann Santos is again set to take on the role of a host via new ABS-CBN kiddie game show Bet on Your Baby.

Judy Ann Santos to Host 'Bet on Your Baby' on ABS-CBN, Says Sorry to KathNiel Fans

In a report by TV Patrol on Friday, Judy Ann Santos said that she will take a short break after her teleserye Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala. Rumors about her switching networks were abound recently but Judy Ann said she has not made any decision yet.

"Hindi ko pa masasagot kasi gusto ko muna magpahinga siguro a couple of weeks. Gusto ko muna ibigay itong peace sa akin. Kasi medyo nawindang din ako for the past few weeks. I think I deserve to just relax and spend time with my kids and husband," Judy Ann said in a press conference held Thursday.

"But doors for ABS-CBN will always, always be open. I will never deny the fact that ABS-CBN is my mother network, my mother station," she said. In fact, ABS-CBN has its newest franchise, Bet on Your Baby in the bag for Juday after she returns from vacation.

Bet on Your Baby is an American television game show that is hosted by Melissa Peterman. The series premiered on ABC on April 13, 2013 wherein each episode features five families with toddlers between the ages of two to three-and-a-half years old, will play to see how well they can guess their child's next move in order to win money toward their college fund.

Meanwhile, Judy Ann said sorry to Kathryn and Daniel's fans for keeping them waiting for their idols' newest teleserye Got to Believe.

"Kung sakali mang nasagasaan ko ang pag-ere ng Got to Believe, I am really sorry. Sorry for keeping you [KathNiel fans] waiting this long but next week, mapapanood niyo na po sila [pagkatapos ng Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala]."

Judy Ann also clarified that the pressure from Got to Believe fans has nothing to do with her decision to cut her comeback series short.

"It was me and the management [who decided to end the soap earlier] and pagbigyan na natin ang mga bata, this is their moment to shine. Ang sa akin lang I was gone for two years and gusto kong mamaalam sa teleserye ng taas noo," she said.

Judy Ann Santos Not Leaving ABS-CBN, New Teleserye in the Works

Posted on August 10, 2013 | 11:55 AM

Teleserye Queen Judy Ann Santos will remain as a Kapamilya, Dreamscape Entertainment Adprom head Biboy Arboleda confirmed to Journal Online after reports that Juday will be transferring networks surfaced.

Judy Ann Santos Not Leaving ABS-CBN, New Teleserye in the Works

According to reports, Judy Ann Santos will sign a new contract with ABS-CBN anytime soon. There are also ongoing talks between ABS-CBN executives and Judy Ann's camp about the said contract renewal and the projects that she will be doing.

Direk Lauren Dyogi, ABS-CBN TV Production Entertainment head, confirmed via Twitter that the network have wonderful offers for Juday.

"Hopefully Judai accepts the new project we offered her. Bago na naman for her. Judai is well-loved. Thanks for giving her your full support. I think she will stay, [we] will pray for that," Direk Lauren said in a series of tweet replies.

Direk Lauren also clarified the issue about Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala being cut short. He said that the creators don't want to extend the story unnecessarily. As one of the best crafted soaps of ABS-CBN, they wanted the story to be short but powerful, the reason it will only run for 13 weeks.

However, it was Judy Ann who requested to end the soap's run two months short of its planned airing, instead of being moved to a later timeslot (4th in primetime after the evening newscast) to give way for the KathNiel teleserye Got to Believe.

Judy Ann Santos teleserye Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala will air its finale episode on August 23 and Dreamscape Entertainment is trusting Juday a new teleserye after she has renewed her contract with ABS-CBN.

Meanwhile, Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla's Got to Believe is expected to premiere on August 26 right after Juan Dela Cruz. Family drama Muling Buksan Ang Puso will take Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala's timeslot and will be pitted against My Husband's Lover.

Judy Ann Santos to Transfer Network When Soap Ends? Will it be TV-5 or GMA-7?

Posted on August 7, 2013 | 12:03 PM

Queen of Pinoy Soap Opera Judy Ann Santos is reportedly considering a network switch after the end of her teleserye Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala on ABS-CBN.

Judy Ann Santos to Transfer Network?

According to reports, Judy Ann Santos is now weighing options whether to transfer or not. Judy Ann's manager, Alfie Lorenzo said that they will be attending a dinner-meeting with TV-5 boss Manny V. Pangilinan. There are also talks that Juday and Tito Alfie will also meet with GMA-7 executives.

Judy Ann Santos' contract with ABS-CBN expired last July and the queen is now free to grab any offer from rival networks while ABS-CBN, her home network for two decades, is still drafting a new contract for her to consider.

Rumor has it that Judy Ann Santos' camp felt bad when the network decided to move her comeback teleserye Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala to a later timeslot to give way to Muling Buksan Ang Puso, when it was doing better in TV ratings. This time, the network allegedly wanted to move the show's timeslot again to accommodate Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla's teleserye Got to Believe.

Judy Ann allegedly got offended after executives told her the move and in disappointment, Judy Ann reportedly decided to just end her teleserye the soonest instead of being placed at a later timeslot (fourth in primetime after evening newscast) where there is very limited viewership.

Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala premiered last June 17 and there are reports that it will air its finale on August 23, two months after it first aired on TV.

Many netizens feel with Juday because despite being bestowed the title of 'Teleserye Queen,' her series were always cut short and barely last long, with follow up teleserye happening after about 2 years.

Will Juday finally end her loyalty to ABS-CBN and leave the network? If she decides to do so, where will we see Judy Ann next—TV-5 or GMA-7?

Meanwhile, because of its compelling narrative and top caliber performance of its powerhouse cast, “Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala” remains unbeatable in its time slot since it premiered on June 17.

On July 5 (Friday), the Kapamilya drama series hit its all-time high national TV ratings of 31.4% based on data from Kantar Media covering urban and rural homes nationwide. It rated nine points higher than its then rival show, Mundo Mo’y Akin which only scored 22%.

Like Anessa, “Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala,” which is set to end soon, stayed undefeatable despite new competition. Based on the latest data from Kantar Media last Friday (August 2), Judy Ann’s drama series scores a 14-point lead versus My Husband’s Lover.
